Hi all,
As it says below the website will be down it can be moved to a faster ISP
for 4 hours on Weds the 19th September, so if you need any rules or army
cards for that period try to download them early :).
Tom.
PS: It could be a few hours longer as POWWEB tends to understate things a
tad.

Subject: Network Update - netepic.org
Dear Tom,
As you have noticed lately, our bandwidth has been saturated; causing
Websites and mail to download slow, most notably during peak usage hours.
This has been due to problems with our backbone provider. We have hoped our
ISP would be able to manage this issue and resolve it. As of yet, they have
not been able to do so.
Over the last 2 weeks, we have been meticulously preparing to move our
network to a new provider. One that can truly provide us with the network
scalability we require to provide you the best possible connection for your
Internet Services. This move will take place this coming Wednesday, Sept.
19th at 2400 PST. Your service will be interupted for about 4 hours.
During this time, anyone visiting your site will get a temporary page
stating:
"The server that holds,
http://netepic.org, is down for planned maintenance.
Please check back shortly!"
During this phase of the move, email will not be interupted. However, 24
hours later, Thursday, Sept. 20th at 2400 PST, we will be moving our
database and mail servers. Your FTP access, member's area and Mail will be
inaccessible for approximately 4 hours.
For those of you running your own DNS, you need to make sure you are using a
CNAME to delegate your domain to your web server's hostname (ie:
mars.powweb.com, venus.powweb.com, etc.). If you can only do this using an
"A" record, contact support for your new IP address.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please direct them to
support_at_....
Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
PowWeb System Administration
PowWeb Inc.
