Agreed - Young Blods is a hellish day in the stores! I'm currently painting
some display pieces for my local store (LOTR, a Few 40K characters etc.) and
was asked to go in on Sunday to paint. Little did I know it was young
bloods!

They did manage to keep it relatively quiet, though I was constantly
pestered by sprogs with painting questions who would ask "What colour should
I paint my Ultramarine?" and when I answerd "Blue", they'd dissapear for 5
minutes come back with a 100% blue marine under half a centimeter of paint
asking "What do you think?" expecting a rave review....and that did happen!

Anyway, my point:
GWmain is definitely aiming at the younger players in its rules and
concepts. HOWEVER, The Specialist games rage, i.e. fanatic is definitely
(IMNSHO) aiming at more the veteren end of the market. I said on the epic
list a few days ago, that I see Fanatic's current situation as the best
possible for us. We get the benefits of a small "Games for gamers by
gamers" style operation as well as the security provided by its backing in
mega-money launderer GW.

Oh, and the 40K whirlwind upgrade is are a "mere" 10 BTW, they can be

More formalised over here. Every Sunday the stores are taken over by hordes
of young kids wanting to play the game and their parents.

Isn't actually that good for sales as there are usually 3 staff in the local
one all running the games so can't take money over the till, logic?? Plus
whilst the rules are aimed at the younger generation everything else is
aimed at us veterans.

F.Y.I. new 40K Vindicator and Whirlwind models will be round 30 from forge
world.
