Scarab Protectors

Hi,

Anybody remember the Necron Scarab Protectors? They were
originally some sort of upgrade for Necrons, but have
dwindled away to obscurity. I thought it would make a nice
compromise, to reintroduce this as some sort of upgrade for
Slann units. After all, they are likely to use some Necron
technology to better themselves, not just to make Necrons.
I've wracked my brain for ideas, but the only thing i can
think of which makes any sense, is for the Scarabs to provide
a nullify field (like all Necrons have) for the unit.
I thought it could be a support card, cost 100 points, and
add 1VP per card purchased to the card its attached to.
One card would be enough for one detachment, so to use on
a company card, you'd have to spend 3 support card slots and
300 points (+3VP's on the company card). This would be usable
by True Slann only, since the Exodites don't have Necron
technology, and the Necrons don't need it. This would also
be the only non-special card which cost less than 150 points.
Any of the Slann players out there have any thoughts on the matter?
Will this be cheese, or will the cost balance it out? Would this
be an infantry upgrade only? Looking forward to some input on
this :)
