I also managed to make a few very important armour saves, and Rune didn't make the regen roll for any of his Nemesis tanks in the first turn which is very unlike him. My plan was to concentrate solely on one side of the battlefield, where the dense terrain would work to my advantage. Rune spread his army over the entire battlefield and tried to encircle my army, luckely I was able to bring in the avatar on my exposed left flank and was able to neutralize the vanguards attacking me there. Rune moved his Mage Mech into the woods and we decided that he should be able to target any pop up attacks and the titan, if I would be able to fire back at him with units on pop at a -1 penalty. That was al I needed, my last scorpion destroyed the mech and ensured my victory. As I said all in all a very good battle, and the first time I've beaten Rune in a not to experimental game :) This was my fourth consecutive game playing the Eldar, and I'm falling more and more in love with them :)

I took a chance by chargeing his Vanguards in order to stop them from shooting out the Dire Avengers and ghostwarriors, this was as Rune said probably not too wise, on the other hand it allowed me to charge his mechs behind the vanguards. Rune is reluctant to engage my scorpions, exarchs and guardians holding up position in the woods on the right. I'm guessing he's planning to attack my exposed left flank, and ther isn't much I could do to stop him...... or is it???? I was lucky to take out all his Nemesis Tanks as they where a serious threat to my Warlock Titan. Slann has got som serious firepower and I must be carefull not to get lured into a firefight with him! Well here we go!

Does it say anywhere in the Book of Grudges that Slann made the Squats?
I hear they mated a Tyranid with an Elf to do that...

Nope. This aint no good vs good game!! (Not that I particulary like the pointy eared ones either..) :-)

The final results are in. Eldar 46, Slann 39 in the third round. A good battle all in all. Nils and
i both agree the changes work well, and that the prices seem good. Nils had a lucky roll
which ive never seen the likes of. 3 guardians in the woods, shooting at my Vanguard. They
all 3 needed 6 to hit. Guess what he rolled? Yup, 3 sixes. And i failed the save of course...
Oh well, you win some and you lose some. This is actually the first time Nils has beaten me,
and the first time he's won with the Eldar, so congratulations is in order :)
Actually, this is one of the times i dont mind losing, since it proves that the changes me and Nils
have done are viable. The Time Magus worked fine, although he was killed in the 2nd round, he
still managed to do his job. The Great Magus in Mech also works fine. He lasted till round 3, when
i warped into a woods, only to be taken out by a scorpion SH on pop-up. Those pop-ups are
nasty business :) The medium mechs are harder to play now, they have shorter range, but are probably
      better suited against Orks/IG.

      Rune

Oh my, the sweet taste of victory.......... :)

        Hi,

After the first round, the score is Slann 31, Eldar 15. The Slann have broken 11VPs from the Eldar and have
4 OP's, while the Eldar has 3 OP's. The last one is under dispute.

As it stands now, Nils has placed most of his close combat units on top of a VP in a wood. This has the great
advantage that i will never be able to take them out, but alot of his forces is also tied up there (for the moment,
i expect they will swarm out in the next round :). My flank manouver with the Great Magus in a mech, and a detachment
of medium mechs has taken its toll. 2 mechs down, but the Magus managed to take out a Scorpion SH Tank which
was lurking behind some trees. Most of the Eldar force is either in woods, or in the edge of a wood, so they are
hard to hit, and im also struggeling with range in alot of cases. He used his bikes very aggresively, but charging
the Vanguards was perhaps not the smartest move. I just failed the regen on all 3 Nemesis tanks, so thats 3 more
VP's for Eldar, and a large dent in my titan killing weaponry :(
All in all, ive wiped out 1 detachment Dire Avengers, one Scorpion SH and 14 bikes (the exact BP :).
It looks like we're going head to head in the next round....

        Rune

Rune is obviously expecting me to come chargeing out of my defensive positions, we shall see <evil grin>. A lot of excitement around the initiative roll this turn aswell, Rune has announced that he is using his mage's ability giving him a +1 to the roll.

Both Rolled a 5, the Slann moves first those bastards!

        Nils

Second round, LET THE GAME CONTINUE!

Hi!

Darius and I have ordered from the in the past on several occasions. I
found their service to be good and prompt. The miniatures are quite nice
and cheap. I'd definitely order some stuff from them.

Hi,

more questions :)

I'd like to buy some pendraken mini's to complement my Slann army.

Does anybody have any experience with this company?

The figures recommended in the army list for Coldones riders (Fantasy
Tribal Lizardmen Rapter Rider with Spear and a Rapter from Pendraken),
Temple Guard Dragoons (Pendrakens sci-fi lizard mounted models) and
Taradon (Fantasy Tribal Lizardmen Raptor Rider with Spear and flying
Dinosaur from Pendraken), are they big enough to mount two and two on a
base (or are
they 4 or 5 per base?)

Are the Predator Aliens from Pendraken (suggested as Kroxigors) big
enough to mount 4 per base?

I guess Peter can best answer these questions, he surely has them all :)

Rune
