RE: [NetEpic ML] Pendraken figures

Hi!

Go ahead, the original creator came up with those sizes, I thought more
standard ones would be better, never understood what the rational was.
So, I'd change all that and make them more reasonable.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice :)
I've been thinking of standardizing the detachment sizes more as well.
There are a few things
that don't seem right. Are the Exodus more numerous than True Slann?
Their detachment sizes
are 6 Vs. Slann 5. Dracons, they're supposed to be the workhorses and
cannon fodder, right?
Why are their detachments generally smaller than the Exodus? Shouldn't
it be the other way
round? There are also some discrepancies with the company cards which i
will correct.
Like the fact that the Dracon Regulators cost the same as the support
cards added up, but
give you one less commander. The Dracons are dependant on their
commanders (otherwise
they revert to their instincts), but in the company card you get 3
detachments and 2 commanders.
Where's the logic in that? I also think the Taradon Riders and the
Coldones Riders should have
the same detachment size. Due to their higher BP (62,5% and 75%), i
think they should either
be 10 per detachment at standard 50% BP, or 5 at 75% BP. Since they're
in the same company
card together, they should at least have the same BP percentage. Too
much mixing with
percentages and detachment sizes just becomes confusing. I'd like to
keep it simple and orderly :)
That's why i'd like to hear the consensus on this from the few Slann
players out there before
i order any mini's. A decrease in detachment size seems to be the more
likely choice, since
people who've already bought mini's won't get screwed, they may in fact
end up with more detachments.

So, any thoughts on this?

Rune

Hi!

The minis are 10mm so you should mount just ONE mini per 20x20mm epic
base. So if the detachment is 5, you just buy 5 minis. You don't need
that many. The lizards with heavy weapons that use for saurus regulars
are mounted two minis per epic base so you need 8 minis for four stands.
For Kroxigor TWO minis per stand as well. I use the lizardmen with
spears from the fantasy line as temple guards, mount per base.

All in all you can get quite a few bases for little investment.

Hi,

Ok, i will:) I still need to know how many i need though. Im especially
interrested in knowing how many
of the Cavalry stands i can mount on one base. The norm is two, but i
havn't seen these mini's, and
i cant find any pictures of them either. Have you mounted any of these
mini's? Since i dont plan to
have over 100k points of combined Slann forces, and since the mini's
cost about twice the listed price
before they're in my grubby little hands due to p&p and taxes, i'd like
to know how much i need of the
different types before i place an order :)

Hi!

Darius and I have ordered from the in the past on several occasions. I
found their service to be good and prompt. The miniatures are quite nice
and cheap. I'd definitely order some stuff from them.

Hi,

more questions :)

I'd like to buy some pendraken mini's to complement my Slann army.

Does anybody have any experience with this company?

The figures recommended in the army list for Coldones riders (Fantasy
Tribal Lizardmen Rapter Rider with Spear and a Rapter from Pendraken),
Temple Guard Dragoons (Pendrakens sci-fi lizard mounted models) and
Taradon (Fantasy Tribal Lizardmen Raptor Rider with Spear and flying
Dinosaur from Pendraken), are they big enough to mount two and two on a
base (or are
they 4 or 5 per base?)

Are the Predator Aliens from Pendraken (suggested as Kroxigors) big
enough to mount 4 per base?

I guess Peter can best answer these questions, he surely has them all :)
