Hard and fast formulas do not work, only playtesting can give a units true
value. Formulas make good guidelines only.

I like it how it is, where you really have to look hard to find the
bargains it makes army composition more fun.

Plus the current system is fair as it is.

Hi!

Note the formula is old, version 1.0 old. Also some units are
underpriced because it is recognized that some armies get "cheapies". I
have wondered about this a lot. I wonder if it is time to eliminate such
cheapness from all armies and price according to a hard and fast
formula.

What do people think?

Peter

I've been putting some numbers together, and I've found that I can't get
Birol's formula, my numbers and the NetEpic unit stats to line up. The
units have changed, as have army cards and composition since he did his
work. I'm not going to attempt to update his work unless there is a
significant demand for it, or I get really bored.

Instead I submit my existing file, "Proposed Core Army Cards & Costs",
currently in the Files section. Please take a look at it and let me know
what you think.
