Come to think of it, the ancient greeks used steampowered machinery in some
of their temples. I would not at all be surprised if they had some god who
guarded these machines.

On a more modern basis, the catholics have a lot of saints, the Hindu have
even more gods, so it would not surpise me much if either of them have some
diety dealing with machines of some kind.
