Actually it is more related to the terrain of the fight. In open territory
with no objects to have to avoid, tanks simply can barrel through
infantry....or at least they could before high powered missiles were
developed. In rough terrain or woods a tank is effectively
useless....Vietnam proved this beyond a shadow of a doubt. That's where
Titans come in.....you can't climb all over them like you can a tracked
vehicle.
