Sounds good, but the "unit by unit" sounds a little more in-depth than is useful. If your target audience is experienced players, that's fine. If you want to make it accessable to newbies, you can't get into quite so much detail. Take a look at the Star Fleet Battles tactics manual as a nice resource.
---> Target audience is both really, I hoped to include an overview, general tactics, race specific tactics and then a unit by unit analysis.
That said, it's a great idea! I've written a few paragraphs for the armies I have some experience with, but a more comprehensive coverage would be cool. If you come up with a 2-3 page article I'd like to add it to the individual Army Books. Longer than that and they should probably go into their own book, but I'd still like a few pages in each of the army books.
---> Cool! Well, how about the general overview and race specific tactics go in the army books and we leave the unit by unit analysis for the full edition.
As for suggestions of what to include, how about a general overview of the army's attitude towards warfare (fluff), strengths & weaknesses, tactics (general and towards specific armies), sample armies and battle reports. Pictures of the units, might be good - Peter has lots of 'em, and I could probably take a few of my own if you need 'em. Good luck!
---> Sounds good, we have a huge picture archive now so we can use that, two battle reports complete with photos and sample armies... we have a selection of fluff articles we can use, so we just need to work on tactics for now.
