I seem to recall we planned it as a very infantrybased army fit huges hordes of rats. An army composed much as the orks. It also had a kind of rustic/appearence. I think we planned to use medieval-style cannons from wamaster for warpcannons, (dwarf-army or something) and scratchbuildt mortars.

The mortars are actually quite easy to make, especially when they are meant to look a bit home made. You start out with an infantrybase. For the actual mortar, use a straw (f ex from McDonalds) and cut it to an apropriate lenght and so it has a 45 degree angle. Glue it on to the base and glue a plastic piece under it for support. Place two infantry on each side of the mortar, and voila, a new unit is born!
