Music to Paint, Play by (Long: Old Fogey Whimsy)
I have recently been struck (yet again) at the synergy that results in
the synaesthetic fugue state arising from painting with the
appropriate background music (and, to a lesser extent:( playing with
the appropriate soundtrack). I just paint _better_ when the 'right'
music is playing.
I know that many others have suggested a similair theme in regards to
understanding the zeitgeist of an army by accessing the apropriate
'Head Space' via music, but I have decided (in context of my Black
Librarian duties) to collate _the_ 'definitive guide' (to be posted
online somewhere: probably my nascent Web Site) for common usage.
Now, I am an _old_ fogey, and so any music past 1974 is probably
known to me by reputation only (and I am personally most interested in
the 'Art Rock' of the -60's & -70's that I believe helped to inspire
Rick Priestly and Bryan Ansell et al to originally create the 40K
milieu in the first place: metal came later IMO) but all contributions
are welcome, especially from 'young 'uns' that don't have any idea
what bands I'm referring to (below).
Matters of Taste are certainly understood to be entirely
subjective
(and critical 'good'or'bad implications or commentaries -about- the
music _totally_ miss the point!!).
I am wanting to know:
-What Music- makes _YOU_ feel like -What Army-..?
-What Music- would _YOU_ use to help someone else "feel"-Your- Army..?
Entirely Subjective & non-judgemental) If a band or album ends up
in more than one category, I will likely have a vote to determine the
"best" placement: please submit ideas categorized by the Army the
Music Invokes, such as follows {Army : Band : Album }
