Give it a 1+ frontal reactor, otherwise if you will decide to move it on the
back, you must do the same thing for eldar titans.

I, also, would like option two, a random location should not preserves it
from an easy destruction.

Yes for the fiddy rules elimination and without the first fire limitation.

Just another consideration:
Do you think that battle groups should be removed from the game?
IMHO giving a player a points save for one hull, when this save could be a
500 pts discount for warlords, gives him a real edge in points. Otherwise we
can leave battle groups, but we must eliminate this bonus; they are just too
good because one player taking tham take a company card, avoid the special
card limitation that titan have, the range limitation between titans is
generally a nuisance then a real penalization.
