Hi!

I have used it with the following ruling:

The knight charges as normal into close combat. BEFORE close combat begins
the knights "shoots" his weapon. If the target is destroyed it is removed
and des not particiapte in close combat. Regardless of outcome, it gets
double its CAF from the shock lance.

Its worked okay like this and makes the damn things worth tthe points.
