Second installment... Rules for Shriekkar will follow probably this
weekend. Enjoy!

                                TRANSFORMATION

    Stormlords
    Shriekkar
    Grand Master Shrinnel Pax'Aarthus

"And so the battle is joined." Grand Master Shrinnel
Pax'Aarthus
watched in his vantage point on the hills surrounding the Titanic
Hive Cities of Glithas IX. Wave upon wave of Thousand Sons Space
Marines attacked the furthest defense outposts in planned surgical
strikes.

"Now." Shrinnel spoke the single word into his comm unit and
moments later huge battle barges landed just outside the range of the
Hive's Defence Lasers and the Titans of the Stormlords Legion began
the assault in earnest. The Terminators of the Thousand Sons
teleported directly into the Defence Laser silos and slaughtered the
crews of the powerful beams in a series of lightning fast strikes.
With the only serious obstacle no longer a threat the Titans of Legio
Huricannus began to advance. Ahead of the main assault by the Marines
and Titans the few forces of Chaos that were available for this
battle swooped ahead on great feathered wings.

"Aaaaaah. How graceful they are," thought Shrinnel, lost for
a moment in a self-indulgent flight of fancy "to be able to fly in
upon the winds and then rain death upon the foe with the ferocity of
any titan. Such power they weild!"

Several hours later with millions of loyalist marines and
civilians dead and the hive cities of Glithas IX so much smoking
rubble, Shrinnel received the news.

Horus was dead.

Slain by the Emperor. The moment of abject panic passed
quickly, while he was a great leader and a fearsome opponent Horus
was not all that there was to the forces of Chaos. Over the many
months of the campaign to take earth Shrinnel had slowly become
withdrawn from most of the traitor human forces he commanded. His
fascination with Magic and more mysterious forces at the command of
the Lords of Change grew daily. He began to spend more time talking
to the shrouded Chaos Magi who wielded destructive powers rivalling
that of his Reaver Titan.

Months later, the battle barges carrying the remains of Legio
Hurricanus dropped into realspace, and the first views of they Eye of
Terror inspired just that, terror, into the hearts of millions of
battle hardened space marines. Nightmares walked the earth, phycial
laws were broken, widespread torture of captives and the anguished
cries of thousands of captives being cruelly tortured. He loved it.
Stepping down from his titan he noticed a heavily robed figure across
the loading bay, it gestured for him to follow.
As he approached, a line of impossibly bright light appeared out of
nothingness and opened, showing him a large room. His robed companion
stepped through and beckoned him to follow.

The loading bay had become eerily quiet, the only sound
Shrinnel could hear was his blood pounding in his ears. His throat
dry, he managed to croak, "Who are you?" at the robed figure.
"All will be explained by the Master." its' soft voice
hissed, "You will follow now, or your opportunity will be lost." The
strange door of light began to close. Shrinnel quickly stepped
through.

He found himself alone in a room with only one door, a
massive set of gem encrusted golden doors that suddenly began to
slide silently open. A voice boomed in his head "You may enter,
favoured of my mortal subjects."
Hesitantly, he entered the room, Shrinnel did not like entering
unfamiliar situations without several hundred tonnes of titan under
his feet. The room was spacious if somewhat barren. A dark alcove
several metres wide and probably 10 metres tall sat recessed into the
far wall, a large pool of light sat in the centre of the room.

The voice spoke again, "Step into the light child, let me look to see
that you are worthy."
Shrinnel strode foreward, his apprehension rapidly giving way to
curiosity. As he entered the pool of light he had the odd sensation
of being touched by millions of fingers, of being carefully inspected.
"For many of your years have I searched for a mortal being who could
be a receptacle of my power. Now I have found two. Raise your eyes
child, and look upon the true face of your True Master!"

Shrinnel raised his eyes as the curtain of darkness decended.
He had seen Lords of Change before but this creature was somehow,
more. Larger and more heavily built he had strange glowing runes in
his clothing and imbedded in his leathery skin where it was not
covered by feathers. "Human, you know me as Tzeentch, I am power, I
am Magic. Come to me and pledge your being.
The rewards will be more than you have ever desired..."

Days later Shrinnel awoke feeling somewhat, different.
Turning on his external sensors and taking stock of the surrounding
area he noticed his point of view was somewhat skewed. "Wait, I don't
HAVE External sensors. What has that monster done to me?"

The voice in his head spoke again, "I have given you what you
most desired human. You will now be known as Shriekkar Princept of
the Stormlords! Go forth and rain down the destruction you desired!"

The rest of Shriekkar's systems came online then and Shrinnel
realized that he was no longer a singular being. His mind had been
mixed, trapped within the systems of his Titan they were now one
being. He looked up, saw a large hole opening in the roof of the
docking bay and leapt into the air on powerful wings,
his dreams at last made flesh.
