If you like the original scarab rules (which seems to be the case) we can
switch them back to what they were.
Could someone send me them? I don't seem to have that version anymore.

Hear, hear! I also liked the original Scarabs much better.
They were fun and inventive, and opened up for surprise moves!
I also agree about the Necrons. They used to be worth fielding,
but now they're very expensive. You just don't seem to get what
you pay for anymore. They are more balanced now, but they've
lost a detachment, while keeping the prices pretty much as
they were. Even more changes will just deteriorate them
more imho. I never field more than one Necron CC, and that's
mainly because i have so damn many of them, and almost
no Dracons

I never thought the Necrons were that deadly. Expensive yes but effectively
mediocre. The disruptor field was its best attribute as their CAF values
weren't super. The repair wasn't that effective either and we often forgot
to roll for it (one of us had to remind each other at the end of the turns).
I actually like the orginal Scarabs that could leap onto troops. These were
cool and effective, kind of worked like the shokk attack gun but with less
range but more deadly. I missed all the hubbub when the Necron costs were
raised, but I think they are a little too expensive to field. My thoughts.
