Historical note, I believe you meant V-1s(buzzbomb) were shot down, they
came in fairly level and could even be knocked down by a plane by flipping
them over with the wing tip. V-2s came in supersonic at a close to
perpendicular re-entry and I don't recall ever hearing or reading of any
being shot down except by accident.
