thats all well and good but you made up your own rules. its not the way it works in any of the writen rules and thats what i m saying and if its only for the rad bomb that has, no to hit roll (and its the only 1 that works like this) as i understand it and they get a 4+ armor save go for it put the full rules change up for vote
this will make the rad bomb a bit more speciallized weapon tis all !!!!! but not all ignore cover weapons like i ve been saying its not a cover mod its a Hit location , armor save , and a damage list...............
Look all I'm trying to point out is that the rad bomb will infact hit troops inside the Titan, if the rules for the Rad bomb say hit hits EVERYTHING UNDER THE TEMPLATE then they are hit, and you have to fall back on the troops being inside fortification rule. And work damage for them in this manner, this is a Nuclear bomb for crying out loud. And IG do not to my knowlage have closed armour like SM. So the Radiation would tare them apart. If you go to the vault Imp Titan pic, this pic has great detail. A Modeling tip for you though if you want to show troops on the top balcany use extra troops by themselfs one troop model =one stand this is how I've seen it at shows. You might need to trim the round disc part off the troop to get it to fit but they do and it adds great detail to the Model this can be done to the feet also. We at our group have been playing that template and no cover mod weapons hit the way I've describe for 15 years and it is not unbalanceing. Like I said before a normal Barrage 6cm template
has to roll the Scatter dice to even see if they hit the location as normal, but if they do then work damage to troops as if in fortification. But for no cover mod weapons that cover the whole Titan 12cm the troops would be hit as per the rules for that weapon and the troops would get the 4+save.

nope i ve never said a word about the bail out rule in fact i don t use it. i think if you hit a tank with a gun that will punch its armor the people inside are hamburger, i ve seen it up close and all to real....
and look at the drawings in the TL rule book pics of the mod and the mod it self is very undetailed and the stairway is why you can close assult it as is the big door but nothing you can say will change the way titans and any blast weapons work unless you change all the rules, its not like its something thats broke and unbalanced that needs fixing
and by the way its does tell you how to shoot at the troops that are in the Imp. titan.roll to hit, pick a location. roll your dice, roll the armor save, and if that falls, roll on the damage list which is very deadly for troops one location at a time with all weapons even the most powerful the" vortex missile"
and the rad bomb still can only hit one location on a titan like all blast weapons, all templet weapons can hit everything under them, and there are other blast weapons that ignore cover mods, its not anything special
and the mod. is very undetailed and the stairway is why you can close assult it as is the big door but nothing you can say will change the way titans and any blast weapons work unless you change all the rules
OOO forget it the model itself shows that there are stairway right up into the legs, plus it has huge archways to fire out of not tiny little dots as a gun slit would be HENCE it is open. Plus the rules for the Rad Bomb stat anything under the template is hit this is radiation burns LOL. And there is nowhere that it says troops inside the Imp Titan can't be shot or hit. No I don't use flame tanks there to slow and their save is lousy. Aren't you one of the guys that want such great detail for the game? Are you not the you who cryed the most for a Bail out rule? I was just looking at the how to paint your model booklet from Titan Legions this is probally the best picture of an Imp Titan there is, You show me the tniy little gun slits you say are there and I'll send my Space Wolf Wolflord over to spit shine your IG Colonel's boots Ok!! LOL :) The picture shows wide open archways this is a open building walking but for guys like you I'd say make a rule that to hit troops inside the Imp Titan with a -3 to hit m
od -2 for being in hard cover and -1 for the fact that it is moving.
why not shot the location beat the armor and roll on the damage list like the rules say ?????????? no need to change anything....

Hi!
Hi!
Peter i think you gaving these two titans another weekness they don t need, the rad bomb and flamers should only be powerful enough to get into them in one spot like all other blast weapons . thats what this is all about not if they were real could they leek in. the fact is the troops arn t in a building there in a 600ft. tall walking tank with lots of other weekness.
>>> Bastations are open areas hench if sheilds are down then troops may be hit with Template and no cover modify weapon types. Plus let us not forget that Void sheilds only stop shots fired from missile type weapons, WEAPONS with FORCE. A flame type weapon or weapon that ignores Cover has no force and covers the whole area and artillary type shower the whole area with millions of fragments surly some will bounce around and find small openings.
and to the person who keeps saying that the Imp.titan fits in the rad bomb temp should know that the mod. is only 1/40 to true epic scale, in other words it should really be over 14" tall.......
>>Well Knights are only supposed to be slightly taller then Dreadnaughts, Thunder Hawks should be the Size of Capital Imp. Capital Imp should be the size of two card buildings long and 4 card buildings wide. Nothing is to the right scale. A Nuclear Bomb can put radiation out over a 25mile radius I'm sure this 600ft tall one city block wide Titan would be in this area when the bomb goes off. but it does not work this way in the game does it. It works like ALL other blast weapons a rad bomb(not a Nuclear bomb) has enought power for its points it needs not more.. nor do flame weapons....
all in all thats not how they work in the game( ignore cover) is not auto hit on all fireing ports/doors /what ever or ignore armor ( which is what the player who used the Imp Titan payed the points for, armor not a cover mod.)
it just means that if your target has a cover mod. it doesent get to use it when shot at with this weapon..................No more, No less
i bet you shoot your flame weapons through builds past the other side and not just into them !!!!!!!! :) LOL
have a good day
quester
i just read through the TL and netepic Imp. titan rules and the troops can be attacked in close combat with a -2 to the attacker but you can t shot at them except as part of the titan and net epic has not changed this as its written
Correct. But as usual they left out how weapons that ignore cover affect these troops. They can't be shot at of course, but flames or radiation seeping through the firing ports is anothe deal.
Question? the big ork gargant is alot more open then the Imp. and you can assault through the whole thing...like its one big building....so can you shoot at all its crew????
This one is easier, as you mention the mega-gargant is prettu open, you can assault it and shoot at the crew with the -2 to hit versus targets in hard cover. The gargant is in essence a building on tracks with its pros and cons.
I would think the troops are well enough protected that they can t be shot at without punching through the titans armor ........
They are well protected, thats reflected in the -2 modifier to hit, but the protection is nowhere near the Imperator's protection.
Question: by the way it looks like the troops can fire the build in bolters ,or secondary weapons, or their own guns in some implacements. but they cant shot both the bolter, or secondary weapons and their own guns at the same time look at the troop placement template
theres some kind of build-in gun in each place that needs to be maned to fire...
Thats a good point, allegedly the counters in those spots man the cannons, but it is more in a supervisory role since the actual physical work is done by gretchen and snotling, but if they are eliminated then there is no one to obligate them to work and the cannons go unfired. So in essence they CAN fire the big gun and their own smaller weapons too.
personally i thank you need to leave them as troops in transport and as non-targets just to keep it simple.......yes they can shoot out their gun ports , but the ports only have to be big enought for the barrel of their gun to go through like a brinks armor car...and there are better gun ports like in the bradley IFV which is air tight for example......
In a human example I agree, but orks dont make things in quite the same way and a fireport in their case is probably a section of missing wall.......
PS: by the way, i ve not said a single personal thing back to anyone
I know, don't worry all is calm.
