Hi,
I know Eivind felt he never had a chance in this game. On the whole, his
rolls where somwhat below average, and the times he made really good rolls,
I often lucked out doing the same. The second round was very tense for me, I
had to take both the center bridges and breake the Bikes to secure the win,
when Eivind moved his last movable bikes into the forest, I got the window
of opportunity I needed, this freed both my Knights (protecting the VP on
the hill) and Necron lord (To take the last bridge) I also had to gamble
that the last Nemesis, would survive the onslaught that surely avaited it
once it took up possition on the bridge. When Eivind downed 2 of my knights
things where looking pretty grim, then I hit with 7 out of 8 attacks with
the last kningt! This ment that I was able to breake the bikes.... The
nemesis also made it's regen roll and I held the last bridge, the necron
lord died, and I lost that VP, but I still had enough points to barely
secure a major victory.
I felt the game was close all the way, the squats are really though to play
against, and have a lot of cheeselike qualitis themselves, I don't think the
necrons need the extra CAF reduction, but I'm as always willin to try it. As
for the regen ability, I rolled slightly belowe average. Even though Eivind
won the initiative on both turns, I felt that he let me dictate much of the
pace of things, he wantet to wait me out obviously. I don't think that was
wise in tis battle. The Necrons do breake easily and that is IMO their week
link, and somrething to consider, also, tont, get intimidated by their
socalled stats.
In my experiencxe, the best games I've fought is the ones where I'm able to
dictate the turn of events!
