Hi
I would suggest any battle in the Sovjet/Finnish winterwar 1939-40. I'm
currently working on a scenario from Viipuri-bay, where the Sovjet forces is
IG (preferably Valhallans)assaulting a Finnish strongpoint held by 2 squat
brotherhoods.

I have always considered the squats to be finnish, rough, tough, can really
hold their liqour and darn hard to break!

In the movie "Winterwar" a high ranking officer comes to a finnish private
asking him how they are doing, the private says that the enemy has killed
most of their friends, so Ivan should find it hard to break through the
defenseline in their sector. And in fact, Ivan never did! Really squattish!!

Finland has, as I see it, always been between the rock and a hard place with
The Sovjet Union on one side and The NATO countries on the other. Almost
like the fluff of the Squats...

Subject: [NetEpic ML] Question regarding armies

Hi people.....I was just wondering:

SInce GW often appears to borrow from historical battles for their fluff, I
have been thinking on doing some 40K or NetEpic battles based on historical
battles (primarily WW1 and WW2)

What battles can you think of which would be most appropriate and what 40K
universe army should be used in place of the historical counterparts???

Some reasons as well please :)

Hope some imaginative people will come up with some good ones
