I believe I am a memeber of the group i joined before yahoo and recieve all of the emails to my ix.netcom.com account. I notice you also use a non yahoo account. I am assumoing I need to sighn up for a yahoo email address, but do I need to sign up on the list with the new yahoo id and use it to read my messages? or sign up on the list with both and just let the yahoo email address fill up with unread emails, while I check the mail the mail on my ix.netcom.com address

Yahoo has definately changed some things. You cannot access the files
section of the mailing list unless you are member of the group and I
am pretty sure you need to update your account to a Yahoo account to
do so. There are all sorts of wierd problems involved in not having a
yahoo account. So in the end you'll need one.
