Re: [NetEpic ML] Implications of "epic" proportions

From talking to store managers Fanatics was started to provide a 'support'
service for the fans of the non core ranges, i.e. Warhammer and W40K. GW
have no intention of taking back any of the ranges that they have given
licence to Fanatics for.

It is purely money, the games such as Epic do not produce the revenues that
they main two do, i.e. KIDS!.

I get the feel that they want the best of both worlds with out making an
effort to keep them. They need the core games to generate the money flow
but want to keep the keen 'older' gamers like us who once they like a game
will stick with it and remain pretty loyal.

By starting Fanatics they have offered us a little hope that the originators
of the game we love will feed us new ideas and new models, they might but
it will be a slow, slow trickle.

As frustrating as it is we will put up with it because it is better than
nothing at all, and the choices are not that great.

That's my slight on things any way.

Warren
