Being a Baby boomer (46) I have to share your lack of respect for the 60's generation, there was plenty happening which wasn't covered by the press at that time, which could have easily turned public opinion from against the war to being for it. Information was slanted and edited to fit a extreme left viewpoint. Don't get me wrong though, there were things that were incorrectly handled and policies which should have been changed.

I may be thinking of someone else...
Anyway, they're still light compared to Nasum, Thorns, Iron Monkey and
Discordance Axis...

I've got material for at least half that lot plus masses of other stuff.
Something like 400 albums on tape and 300 on CD, plus a huge morass of
compilations. And the CD collection basically built in about 5-6 years.
But, yeah, that's an impressive collection. :-)

Well, Im not quite sure.
Im no expert on the politics of the finns, but they have since WW2 conducted
a no-agression policy towards USSR.
If USSR had percieved Finland as a possible build up zone for NATO, I think
Finland would find itself to be a province of the USSR, just like it was a
province under tsar-russia.
As they are not seen upon as a threat, they where not worth risking WW 3
over. USSR could easily have done what they did to Checkoslovakia to also
Finland back in the days.
This is what I meant by the finns being great diplomatics!
Thats me rambling, I might get correctet by Jyrki though....
JS: Not much correcting there. However, Finland certainly wasn't a threat to
the USSR before the Winter War, a s the army was poorly equipped and utterly
incapable of offensive operations. That didn't stop certain power hungry
individuals from attacking. Now if the Finland had had a decent army, even
J.Stalin might have thought twice about attacking, since armed might was the
only language he understood.
As for the WW3; if USSR had attacked Finland back then, there wouldn't have
been WW3. None of the western powers would have so much as lifted a finger
in defense of Finland, since that would surely have begun WW3. They didn't
do so for Czechoslovakia or Afghanistan or for anybody else who hasn't got a
sizable chunk of some strategic resource. If you have nothing which is vital
to the big bullies you ar left to fend for yourself. That is the way it has
always been and so shall it ever be unless the human race undergoes some
major psychological overhaul.

Yeah, there is another band called Covenant. Kovenant
had to change their name and write it with a "K" instead,
cause the other band had copyrights on it..

--->You have a point there. A country can fight anything except it geografy,
and I think Finland has managed it quite well after WW2.
Then as a sidebar, I must say that I have very little respecct for the
generation of our parents. USA was the big bully back in 68, demonstrations
over the Vitnam war, but the hippies didnt say a word when USSR invaded
Checkoslovakia. Hipocrites !

Hi,
I was just surfing the net the other day and found this site
http://www.p-o-p.demon.co.uk/index2.htm which has a large selection of
second hand Epic Minis at a very reasonable price.

-->I picked up the new CD about three days after it hit the stores. 8)
It's a bit different musically than their previous ones, using more
symphonic sounds, lots more strings in the music. Their songs are just
as..."different" as usual, as far as the lyrics go. Bobo returns to do
some more back up vocals (on "Nebel"), and there's more sampling in it as
well. Sonne is cool, Feuer Frei! is better, and Links 2 3 4, is cool
too. Worth picking up.
