Thag would have fired 2 dice, needing 5+, -2 save modifier.

I don't know what the armor save of the Impy is on the gun, but it's
probobly around 4+, on 2 dice (with a -2, he would need a 6+ on 2D6)

He then would roll on the damage table (D6), getting a roll necessary
for a flashback. He then would have to make 1 or 2 more rolls to
bring the bad boy down.

Not very probable, but possible :).
