Atomics, but they are illegal, no army would use them. They all have them,

I hope you use saves for shield users, and remember the short range of Maula
Pistols.
Remember, on Arrakis, sheilds attrack worms, and are not used. No one would
ever fire a lasgun at a shield, because the resulting explosion would equal
that of an Atomics discharge.
So basically special rules are gonna be complicated and finicky.

his own Saudakar.

Let us not forget, that before Paul most combat was between the Laandsrad.
Inter-house feuds. Between the Atreides and the Harkonnen it was vengance.
After Paul the combat was between Paul and everyone else. During Leto II
there was next to no combat, and the God Emperor's armies were made up
entirely of women.
After Leto was the famine times, and by then Giede Prime was re-named Gammu,
Arrakis named Rakis, Caladan was known as Dan, and House Corrino and
Harkonnen had vanished, everyone was Atreides.
It gets even more complicated
(Well, everyone was on about the SCA, I felt that it would be good to know
alot too)
