That won't work.

My genestealers enter a 1 inch thick stand of woods, they are in cover, and
cannot be shot, or cannot shoot.

Also, they can still be shot by artillery, which means they should get a
cover armour bonus if the are infantry (unless the big branches don't make a
difference)
