I think it is both the game mechanics as well as the size of the armies
that drew me to the game. After years of running around in battletech I
really wanted to field a force that actually LOOKED like it could take a
planet/cause great amounts of damage as opposed to just a bunch of big
bots/infantry assult.
AS for other games which I still play(and hope to continue doing so) they
all have their attraction and benefits.
But the one thing that really sticks in my mind about Epic40k/2ndEd is
the first image I ever saw which was of the Imperator Titam scene off the
cover of titan legions...anything that big deserves to be played.
