Interesting points. However, take a look at the following:

5 Stompas - 20 assault, 20 firepower.

5 Landraiders - 10 assault, 10 AT shots.

Using the middle column on the firepower table, 20 firepower will
get you 10 dice. Granted, they're not guaranteed 4+, but the Stompas
aren't as suceptible to blastmarkers, and can actually defend themselves
in CC. Plus, you're guaranteed to have some boyz along with the Stompas,
so you'll have a better chance of having a means to prevent the Stompas
from getting destroyed.

I do think that the Ork Army is really lacking in anti-tank ability.
Taking out Titans is a pain in the butt. You need huge amounts of
firepower to get through the 6 armor on most Imperial Titans, and
if you take too many Pulsa Rokkits or Mekboy Deathray Speedstas
you get screams of cheeze (although this is not from personal experience,
just the general vibe I get from reading this mailing list and
r.a.m.w. newsgroup).
