I have to agree, unfortunately I had to stop gaming for acouple years,
(college, job, a baby) but I have started gaming again. I was playing 40k
and brought out some of my dreadnaughts, (old ones of course) land
speeders, attack trikes, and my "beaky" marines. There where some younger
kids playing that night with all the new stuff and they had never seen
anything like the older stuff. They kindof treated me like a grizzled old
veteran. I did buy a box of titans several years ago before at a local
convention. I was planning on using them as dreadnoughts. Well they got put
away and forgot about and I have since started epic. I was digging around
and found I had 5 plastic Titans still on the sprues. I was so happy
knowing that not only did I have several Titans to run , but I didn't have
to shell out $30.00 or so just for one.
I have always been envious of the people who had a GW store close by, but
I guess I'm happier being able to use older figs and (should I mention it?)
improvise by using other figs that are close enough? Why yes I did buy a
micromachine Star Wars Jawa Transport! It will soon be delivering it's
cargo of marines to a battle near you.

models. I play Epic to enjoy myself, not to act as a 3D advertising

Making new models is not greedy, trying to force people to abandon their
older models in favour of the new models is greedy.
