One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Sauron1 writes;

While getting my Eldar Warhosts ready for a Friday Scrum, I came across
my collection of Eldar War Walkers. Checking with the current crop out of
GW's WD #214, I see they have not really changed them much (thank Goodness )

Both were humanoid with a pod like head and they both have miniature
wing sets. Unfortunately, GW stopped there. The new ones have only one
weapon and there was no sign of the exposed crewed type.

And Now :For those interested in Eldar "Fluff"

Codex Eldar; All Walkers are "SCURATHAINN"

Actual crewed Dreadnoughts are "IARRASCURATH" or Questing Warriors

                                                      Movement Save
CAF Weapons
Banshee Assault Dreadnought 6/12 6+ +2
Missile Launcher 2xFlamer
War Cry Support Dreadnought 6/12 6+ +3 Laser
Cannon Shrinken

Infinity Circuit Walkers Are "TANNASCURATH" or Spirit Warriors

Vampire Spirit Warrior 6/12 6+ +3
Heavy Plasma Shrinken

Crewed War Walkers are "OFFIGACCURATH" or Striding Warriors

War Walker 6/12 6+
+3 Scatter Laser,Las Cannon

The weapons statts given appear to be the same as those for grave
mounted Eldar support weapons.

The Codex goes on to say that all Eldar "Scurathainn" walkers behave as
Dreadnoughts in all respects. The Eldar Dreadnoughts are fitted with Jump
packs that allow them to "jump move" or in fact double their movement rate
if on CHARGE orders. 12x2=24"move, but they can only make one 45% turn at
the START of their move. It does not say they can actually jump over
anything as a Revenant Scout Titan can, but I assume they mean they can.

As I see it the Codex Eldar War Walkers were simple more maneuverable
human shaped weapons platforms as they appeared to carry the same variations
of weapons.

The new Epic40k players might want to consider this variation for their
War Walkers as the Epic2nd players do. I afterall do like most of the new
Epic40k metal (Except for that AWFUL Warlord )
