they THINK they can, either. Besides, Eldar wouldn't do that.

Orks are , well, Orky. They get special abilities because their collective
psyches believe it to the extent it comes true. Just consider it some sort
of "psychic boost" to their otherwise sad and technologically deficient weapons.

Egads! Did I just argue that on the basis of background fluff? I must have
a fever.
