No. JPEGs are good at compressing photos- they take the detail you don't
notice, line it up against a wall and shoot it. GIFs say 'right, the
areas from 1 to 7922 are black, 7923 to 9995 are red, etc'. JPEGs are
really only worth it for photos and such, IMAO.
Addendum: I just tried it as a JPEG, and it was 4 times the size.
