I have to agree with Elias, charging from nearest to furthest makes sence.
It would be hard to charge the back most unit if you had to negotiate with
unengaged troops before hand. But not being able to double up on already
engaged units does not make sence. It makes sence to be able to just crush
the front ranks of the opposition during on offensive assault if you can.
Remember that you can not assign assault damage to unengaged stands, so the
call would be up to controlling player, as general of his troops.
