         When it comes to plastic sprues, it is possible for a very good
moldmaker to take a hard plastic sprue, freeze it and succesfully creat
a usable mold.

         I actually saw a craftsman create one from an Airfix ACW artillery
sprue a few years ago. I have an metal Gun crew from it. It was
destroyed later as it was just an experiment though.
