I've got to agree here. That Tempest host is pretty fragile if you put it
on charge and send it into the middle of the board. Putting an artillery
company in the open on the deployment line is suicide, too. These are not
proper deployments, and neither is sending your Warlord into the middle of
the board without some assault troops to keep the boarders at bay.

Some are clearly better, man. Compare the Hellstorm (I think) vs. a gatling
blaster. More shots, same range, better save mod. No contest. Now,
personally, I think the hellstorm is intended for LoB only, but some folks
on this list have stated that they use it on battle titans, and if Chaos is
disallowed battle groups, I can understand why.

I agree on this point. We had a house rule to this effect (750 for a
Warlord) almost right after 2nd edition came out. The Gargant Mob is
dertainly in line with the other BGs.
