Does anyone have any (detailed) info about the 'Bommerz over da Sulphur
River' game ? I saw reference on Andy's White Dwarf Review
http://www.sheppard.demon.co.uk/White_Dwarf/white_dwarf.htm but it
always takes a couple of weeks before the reviewed WD can be found in
our neighbourhood...
The reference was as follows :
"Next, Andy Chambers introduces 'Bommerz over da Sulphur River'. This
is actually a new game that GW are releasing this month, covering Ork
bombing runs against Imperial bridges on the Sulphur River. Odd, but
strangely appealing. Fourteen pounds sterling buys you the game, which
includes a board, lots of dice and counters, two Thunderbolt Interceptors
and four
Fighta-Bommerz (Epic 40K scale)."
Any info anyone ?

I haven't got it but from reading the Dwarf the game consists of 4
FightaBommas and 2 Thunderbolts. It has three board sections which
make up along river valley. The board is marked with circles which allow
different routes to be taken (sort of like squares on a snakes and ladders
board). There are cardboard counters included which the imperial player
can place in some marked circles which represent hazards like flak and
rock spires. The Ork player has to blow up a bridge over the valley. The
Imperial player has to prevent this. There are references to damage points
for the Ork aircraft, and variable speed/manouverability/bombing accuracy
ratings. It looks fairly simplistic. The only connection with Epic is that it uses
the same models.
On a related note GWUK mail order put out a 'freebie' if you subscribe to
the Dwarf called Troll. This has various mail order deals in it. The one that
came with WD222 has rules for using Chaos, Eldar, and other Imperial
units in the game as attackers or defenders. Should anyone be interested
I'll type them up for you if you get the game.
