The wire which i have is nichrome wire (possible mis-spelling) which is
used to ignite model rocket engines, i paid $1.98 (us) for a 3 foot piece.

        The comercial one I have has a wire about 6" long stretched between the
opening of an aluminum hacksaw style frame. Two "D" batteries provide
enough juice to cut styrofoam with it.I understand some craft or model
stores may carry them.

         Unfortunately I only have one replacement wire. Can you advise me on how
to obtain more?
