Hey, I disagree with Dirk that the books are better than the movie (mainly
because that implies an 'always'). I think that the 4-hour director's cut is
one of the best movies I've ever seen (along with my other favorite, 'Akira'-
too bad I haven't seen the subtitled version), and I think it sometimes blows
some of the middle books out of the water in terms of quality. I like it, even
with those dumb guns that kill with a word and stuff that were never in the
book.
