remember in the book the reason that the emperor betrayed Duke Leto was because he
had developed a fighting style that was superior to Sardaukar, which were the
best. That's one of the reasons Fremen were so kick ass. in fact they were better
then Sardauker because they had the death world background and the atredies
fighting ability.
that and by the last book there were nothing but Atredies running around
