It's the old pattern Epic Manticore. Basically, a standard chimera-type
chassis (also used for the Basilisk, Hydra etc) plus a multi-launch missile
box on top of a rotating turret. The missile pack had a large spiked ball on
the end, and could be rotated to "lash out" in close combat.... hence the
name Manticore. Personally I use them for Chaos
Artillery.

IMO it's not a close combat weapon. IIRC in the original AT rules for this
unit it had 2 multi launchers, not one. The ball is the second multi launcher,
it's the same as that fitted to the deathwind drop pod.
