I use Humbrol Enamels mostly witch gives my figures a darker look
than acrylics and I tend to wash the finished figure with a Burnt Sienna
for that in field look.
I am currently painting a Tyranid army organized for Epic2nd, and
have left my SM armies at three 20 stand companies plus command. Each
mounts two companies on Rhinos and one HQ company on LandRaiders. I
attatch Whirlwinds and Bikes or LandSpeeders as required.The individual
pieces are a mixture of old and new stands and models. I tend to WRG
them with heavies on the old squares and lighter units on the new.
My Chaos SM units are Horus Heresy period organization as posted
here and my Imperial guard is painted but I have not decided whether to
organize it pre-or-post Heresy.
Orks are painted in the Epic2nd clans with the new Epic40k figures
attatched as needed.a WD had pictures of GW staff orks last year and
influenced me to add smoke effects etc. We still used warwagons as
transports and tanks, but have done away with the varations between the
small ones but kept the heavies.
My Squat collection is large, but it will be a winter project.
