[Epic] SM1 Frag/Plasma Missiles

In first edition SM infantry missile launchers can fire either plasma or
fragmentation missiles. From looking at the stats why would anyone ver fire
a frag missile? The plasma missile has it beat in every regard. Am I
overlooking some hidden advantage that the frag missile has?

And were there ever stats published for krak missiles?
