[Epic] Squat Gyrocopter Question

According to CJ20, you may include an extra Iron Eagle Gyrocopter as
support in another detachment, except for the Supreme Commander and Tunneler
detachments, for free.

a) Does this take up a slot in the Support List of the detachment, and can
this result in exceeding the number of main force slots?
b) Can you add it to Detachments which don't have a support list, like a War
Engine, Land Train or Air Wing detachment ?
