I made a bunch of sorta-epic scale paper miniatures. There are PostScript
files on my web site:

Follow miniatures games link, look at bottom for Paper Miniatures. I made a
system for designing 3d objects in terms of vertices, edges, and faces. It
could "unfold" a 3d shape onto a plane, although you have to design the
shape so that it doesn't overlap on the 2d version. I had functions to
transform the coordinate system so that a certain vertex was at the origin
and a given edge was the X axis, and then I could draw 2D patterns on each
face, to give features like hatches, treads, etc.
I started working on a bunker for Epic scale, but never got that far. I was
dumb and created it in a way that didn't unfold well. I'll probably take it
up again some time.
