Here's a quick summary of the contents of FIREPOWER. Most is
reprints of exisitng CJ & WD articles which if you have them all will be
frustrating but, if like me you didn't have (I don't take CJ) all of
them it is a useful summary.

New Rules seems most important area:

* Increased points costs for AT weapons. Basically 5 pts per AT
weapon. I listed these yesterday.

* Anti-tank also has to target (i.e. specify) whether he is shooting at
infantry or vehicles, that which targetted being removed first.

* Bunker objective morale loss becomes -d6 instead of -5 (Apparently it
was too high)

* Vortex missiles become "Titan-only." Deathstrike Missile Launcher now
shoot Deathstrike missiles which at d6 x AT (instead of Death Ray)

* Drop Pods troops can only assault or normal upon emerging.

* Walkers - Optional rule in "Battle" become official. Walkers can now
be carried as infantry in Drop pods and Transport fliers, but not
vehicles.

* Flak weapons get extra ability to snap-fire at flyers in range (& drop
pods) but snap-shots don't use special ability (like Fire Prisms AT.)
Need special orders (!) to use special abilities.

* Detachments with Flak on special orders can also do preparatory
bombardment. (presumably with other artillery)

* New Critical Damage table for Super-heavy tanks. (Less damaging).
Super-heavy tanks can also reverse at cost of 5cm per turn (which just
cuts their speed by 5cm, I think.)

* Ambush scenario changes. Apparently the ambusher gets beaten too
often.

* War Engine have set of Special orders.
    - Overwatch allows WE to either fire in Shooting phase, or fire in
WE phase with rerolls.
    - March is self explanatory but includes sentence which appears (to
me) to be complete gibberish.
    - Assault. Useful halving of FP but may use close combat weapon
"double assault value" (on arrival) against vehicles and infantry.
    - Flak. May not shoot normally. Snap-fire at in range fliers.

* Errata mostly known stuff but including clarification of SHWs and BMs
posted earlier. Oh, also units with Assault & hvy weapons keep 45cm
range but half assault after adding +1 assault.
