A. A variety. Everything from GW to Floquil to my daughter's cheap water
color brushes from Crayola.

B. I try not to pay more than $4US per brush. I have found that Floquil last
the longest, and GW one's need replacement every 8-10 months.

C. Somewhat. The GW brushes, especially the larger ones, deteriorate the
fastest, and my no-name brand sable brushes (from Germany, only thing I
remember), the longest, in that I haven't replaced them yet, and I got them, 6
years ago.
