Now we all know that knights and squats are not in the game (at the
moment). But I've seen rumours saying no predators manticores etc.

These rumours are fortunately groundless - there are predators, and
manticores are now "heavy barrage weapons" - I suspect other "lost"
troops may be in a similar position.
