Lets see:

lots of troops
physically impressive Ogryn Rambos with huge automatic weapons
huge firepower
the best tanks
ground attack aircraft

This is the US Army surely? For Imperial Guard read National Guard?

As for the SM:-

long traditions
smaller, well equipped forces
excellent airborne troops
chaplains, medics, techs
garrisons around the Empire

Why, of course! This must be the British Army!
