Yeah it is different. It doesn't matter that the you cause few
casulaties with the Guardians. As you stay away far enough hopefully
not to get CCed should you loose initative, but if you win, then you get
to firefight first, he looses (hopefully) then instantly goes on
fallback special orders. So he doesn't get his assault, and he cannot
CC you, as he is running away from you.

Also, dont forget, if you can surround the enemy, he is screwed, as if
he cannot retreat far enough, they die. No save, no nothing (except war
machines).

It is just a case of using your orders right, and making sure you have
covering units should you get CCed.
