     * Techmarine *
     I'd suggest that the Techmarine (Repair Skill?) means that a unit
     which has taken a hit and is within 5cm in the end phase gets, say, a
     4+ to repair it. This would mean that the Techmarine could run up to a
     couple of 'hit' (i.e. out-of-the-game) Land Raiders and bring them
     back into the game (on a 4+).

     This differs form the 4+ 'save' in that if the vehicle is hit before
     it fires, it cannot fire back, but may make an appearance in the next
     shooting phase. I.e. it means the Techmarine/Servitor/Mek-boy is
     taking time repairing the vehicle...

     Not only that, but it gives you a good excuse to leave the models
     on-table and covered in wreckage markers (smoke, etc.).

     * Scout *
     As for the earlier discussion about the Scout - the stats should stay
     the same. After all the scale of the game means that you're better off
     having less detail (apologies to those who like the detail in Space
     Marine). What you could try is using the stat. line:

     "Scout - As Space Marine - Infiltration [No Rapid Fire]"

     which is reminiscent of the Devastator stat. line:

     "Devastator - As Space Marine - Heavy Weapon [No Rapid Fire]"

     Although you may want to try [No Rapid Fire, No Stubborn] instead. As
     for the points cost? Who cares, nobody would want to field them now ;)
     (oh, -2 or -3 then...)
