I'm going to reply to this just to add my feelings of how disagreeable I am
to the price hikes we've seen coming from G.W. in the past few years. I
realize they are a company trying to make money. I realize there is
inflation. I don't understand where 5 plastic Terminators should cost
$30.00. I hope you get an entire selection of weapon sprues with that. If
I'm going to pay $30.00 for plastic I better get Assault Cannons, Lightning
Claws, Hammers and Shields, those axes the Gray Knights carry, Missile
Launchers, THE WORKS!!!! But I know you don't. I also know people will
keep buying the stuff. I've already bought 3 of the $15.00 Thunderhawks,
and over the next few months I plan on buying 3 more. When I bought my
first Thunderhawks some 5 years ago they were $4.00 each. I know there is
a lot more metal. My point is people will pay for it. Who ever made the
comparison to the train hobby had a good point. There's a hobby that must
cost a fortune. Imagine how much it costs to buy all the models to make a
small downtown village scene. Sure, in comparison to other hobbies, our
hobby might not cost a lot, but the amount it costs in the past few years
is getting to the point of no return. Remember 7 years ago when the price
of gas went up as a result of the Gulf War? I remember telling myself I
would never pay $1.50 for a gallon of gas, and that was the Ultimate stuff.
Now I pay $1.35 for the low grade, because the Ultimate is $1.60. I know
this reply is all over the board and hard to fallow, but so is the
reasoning behind G.W.'s steep price hikes the past few years.
